Sooo I never finished my Sub Zero kosplay or my Hilbert one for FanExpo.  I was way too unmotivated over the summer.  And I only went for a day, so I just wore Sol Badguy to that.  But other than that, this year's FanExpo was actually kind of decent.  I'll probably go next year for the whole weekend, and hopefully I can make it to ConBravo as well.

So I started school on Tuesday at Fanshawe.  I'm taking the Electrical Techniques program there.  Lucky for me it's only a one year program and if everything goes right I'll become an electrical apprentice once I finish(and then 4 or 5 to become a licensed electrician).  But anyways, it will probably slow down cosplay plans a little bit.  I still plan on finishing Hilbert and Sub Zero though.

And since I never finished Sub Zero on time for FanExpo, I've decided that instead of his alternate outfit from Deadly Alliance imageshack.us/photo/my-images/… , I'm gonna do the outfit from MK9 imageshack.us/photo/my-images/… .  I started the armor last week and I'm making good progress.  I'm hoping to be able to finish this by Halloween but con-wise, I'm gonna bring it to DTAC and Con-G.  Hilbert I'm going to make for Con-G.

And I already know what I want to do for AN next year.  Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden.  I'll start that once I'm done Sub Zero and Hilbert.  I'm most likely gonna have to make a trip to the fabric district in Toronto for the fabrics for it.

Well this con turned out to be fucking amazing.  The weekend definitely went by too quickly.

So on Thursday I caught a Greyhound from London around 10:30.  When loading up they asked if I was going to Yorkdale or downtown Toronto.  Not knowing any better I chose downtown.  Before the bus left another con-goer told me Yorkdale is one subway stop away from where I needed to catch a bus from.  So I tried to switch from going downtown to Yorkdale, no go.  I figured, Greyhound are kinda pricks.  Anyways, after all was said and done, I got to the Radisson around 2:30 and met up with zombielily and some others.  We got checked in and went to our room.  I left the room for a little bit and when I got back zombielily told me the front desk called our room asking about how many people were in our room because a maid saw us bring 5 in.

Around 6 we all went to get our passes and I got my weapons checked.  Busiest Thursday badge pickup ever.  It didn't take long to get my badge but it took forever to get my weapons checked. Sometime after I went to LCBO and Bulk Barn with zombielily, her bf and a friend of theirs.  Afterwards I quickly met up with Lorryl to give her her pass then I met up with a friend at Swiss Chalet.  

Cherry-Blossom-Bliss and a friend of hers ended up staying in our room for the night but brought us tastey snacks.  

Friday morning I woke up, and went to McDonalds for some breakfast.  After that I just lounged around in the hotel for a bit and then helped Cherry-Blossom-Bliss and her friend carry their stuff to their hotel(Holiday Inn) and holy fuck was the lineup long.  I almost went outside.  Sure as hell makes me glad I decided to check in on Thursday.  I waited with them for a little bit till we got out of the doorway then I went back to my room to get ready.

Friday and Saturday I cosplayed as Sol Badguy from Guilty Gear.  The weather on Friday was kinda crappy.  So after getting ready I went down and just walked around with zombielily and her bf and took some pics.  Ran into Adelade and basically just ran around taking some pics.  Eventually I decided to check out the dealers room.  Nothing really interested me.  I happened to catch a wrestling match between Casey Jones and a random foot soldier from Ninja Turtles which was awesome.  Ended up filming that because I couldn't not film it.  I decided to check out the Nomonoichi but didn't see anything too interesting there either.  Ended up running into saskatoo and Chuugrend afterwards.  After that I got changed out of costume and went to the outdoor rave for a little bit then back to my room.

Saturday was much nicer out.  I woke up and eventually got changed into my costume then went for lunch at Jack Astors.  After that I just walked around chatting it up with people then taking pics.  I ended up going to the fighting games photoshoot around 2.  Did some mock fights and whatnot.  After that I finally met up with saskatoo, The-Simi6.  They cosplayed as I-no and Jam from Guilty Gear.  Not too long after we met up with a few of saskatoo's friends who also cosplayed Guilty Gear(Baiken, Chipp Zanuff, Ky Kisuke male and female versions).  We decided to check out the dealers room.  On the long stretch there we played a bit of a game where we could see how long we could walk before getting stopped for pics.  I think the longest we went was 75 feet.  It reminded me of FanExpo 2009 all over again with saskatoo, Adelade and penragonwebsite.  Good times.

Sometime after that we decided to have our own little photoshoot at the back on the TCC.  We got some awesome shots, and some derpy ones of course.  After that I met up with Serenity-Sama at the One Piece shoot to pick up some plushies I commissioned her to make me.  Ran into eebanee and JessieRocks as well.  Decided to take some pics at the shoot as well.  After that I decided to head back to the dealers room and ran into saskatoo's friends who were cosplaying Ky on the way.  I found a plushie of Happy from Fairy Tail so I ended up buying it for The-Simi6 for her birthday.  After that I ran around and took more pics and then changed out of cosplay.  I decided to check out the outdoor rave for a little bit then went back to my room, watch Rush Hour 2 and passed out.

Sunday was rather uneventful for the most part.  I wore Yuri that day, I was boiling in that cosplay so I only wore it for maybe 2 or 3 hours.  I spent most of the time just walking around and taking pics.  Did hit up the Tales shoot though.  Sometime after that the heat got to me so I got changed out of that and walked around in normal clothes taking pics.  Around 4:30 I gathered up my stuff and met up with The-Simi6 and her friend to head back to London then we picked up Adelade.

That was a damn good con, I sometimes wish they had it more than once a year.  Next up is FanExpo for me.  I'm not gonna pay to get in if I can get away with it.  For that I'll be cosplaying as Hilbert from Pokemon Black/White and Sub Zero from the Mortal Kombat series(alternate outfit from Deadly Alliance).  I'm hoping to finish the Sub Zero kosplay for the London Cosplay Picnic which is in July and which you should goto if you can make it www.facebook.com/event.php?eid… .

So this year's Con-G was prettty epic!

It all started Saturday morning, met up with Adelade and we caught a train to Guelph.  Called a cab when we arrived in Guelph and their competitor showed up first so we went with them.

Got to the hotel but couldn't get checked in quite yet.  Luckily Adelade's friends already had a room so I got changed into my costume.  I debuted my Yuri Lowell cosplay  I was worried I wouldn't finish the props on time because it's been way too damn cold to spraypaint.  

After getting changed  first thing I did was hit up the dealer's room to let zombielily know I was there and what was going on with the hotel as I shared a room with her, her bf and a friend of theirs.  I did some screwing around then went for lunch.  Finally I was able to get into my room.  I met up with eebanee and basically hung out with her and Zamshi for the afternoon.  Got my ass kicked at pokeymans by Zamshi.  I bought a bunch of Vesperia figurines in the dealers room.  Got Yuri, Estelle, Karol, Repede and Judith(on Sunday).

I ended up entering the masquerade again for workmanship and actually won something.  Best Props for my Second Star swordchipface-zero.deviantart.com/a… and bodhi blastiachipface-zero.deviantart.com/a… .  Got a cerftificate, a button and a charm.

Sunday I ended up wearing Ragna to go along with The-Simi6 who cosplayed as Noel Vermillion.   It was photoshoot after photoshoot.  First it was a shoot with a friend of The-Simi6 then later on we met up with LiquidCocaine-Photos for a shoot.  We got a shit ton of pictures taken at that one, I believe she said 250.  I can't wait to see them.  During that shoot one of the Con-G staffers came up to us to give us hall costume awards which made me feel epic.  A bit later we got pulled aside for yet another shoot, this time with secret asian man secretasianman.tv .  Again we got a shit ton of pics taken.  saskatoo got some pics taken too.

Later on I just ran around taking pics and whatnot.  I remember one point there was this kid who was amazed at my costume and how my one eye was red so I decided to show him.  I suggested the dad get a pic of him with me which he did.  I bought some pokemon plushies: Squirtle, Piplup and Marill which I bought for a friend's daughter.

After all that, I met up with Adelade and we headed back to the train station to head back to London.  While waiting there we ran into another con-goer from London.  Also ran into secret asian man, who also happens to live in London as well.

This Con-G was definitely an awesome one.  Next up is MTAC, which I swear I will make it to this year.  I'll be wearing Yuri to that.  I can't wait.

Just so you know I've got an AN report coming.  It's just gonna be long and will take awhile.  But I'll at least say it was a good con.

For FanExpo I'm going to be cosplaying as Gray Fullbuster from Fairy Tail on Friday and Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell(Kinshasa mission outfit from Double Agent) on Saturday and Sunday.  I'll eventually do the standard sneaking outfit from Chaos Theory with the goggles for DTAC and/or Con-G.

I've also decided that my main cosplay for next AN is going to be Nomad from Crysis(nanosuit from the first game).  I figure since I basically know how I'm gonna carry it out I might as well do it.  Some of you may be thinking it's too early to decide on this but then again I did decide on Dante on the way home from AN 2008, and it'll also take awhile.  I'm also thinking of cosplaying Sam Fisher on the Friday too, Kinshasa outfit during the day, Chaos Theory outfit at night.
