Bleach- Pantera

Grimmjow's Zanpakutou Pantera

I used the tutorials made by to make this. Check out his page if you need to learn how to make a katana out of wood.

The sword was made out of poplar using a jigsaw, files and a power sander. Instead of screwing the handle pieces in like posted in 's guide I decided to just glue them instead. On one side of the blade a little part of the paint job got kinda screwed up when I glossed it(guess it wasn't dry enough). The handle wraping was simple enough. I used hot glue to secure the ribbon on each end of the handle.

The sheath was made out of cardboard and paper-mache. I originally intended to make it out of wood but decided not to due to time constraints. I do plan on making a wooden one after Anime North if I don't get too lazy.
